Sniper Tactics - Fri 13/11/09 @ 2030 AEDT

Ok, so I'm looking to trial the use of Snipers effectively in Arma2. I'm thinking about tackling Blake's domination mission with some thought as to how we do this. So here is my concept.

So I want to use domination as this enables us to use a more realistic Sniper loadout. There are 2 Ghillie suited Snipers in Domination. This makes one effective sniper team:

Sniper 1 - M40A3, M107, 2 Smoke grenades. Binocs, NVGs.
Sniper 2 - M40A3, M16A4, 2 smoke grenades. Binocs, Laser Designator.

The main reason I want to use domination is the above loadout is posssible by using the backpack in domination.

So what I'm looking for is a volunteer to work with me as Sniper 2. We will see how many objectives we can complete and we'll set our own missions depending on what the Domi mission gives us. The main reason will be to train as more effective snipers. If you are Sniping with me please ensure you have the GMJ sight adjustment mod as rarely will we engage at under about 600m minimum, but for the most part it could be up to 1500 meters, if we get some nice open ground I want to test the effective range of the M107 (the other night just before a crash we were about to attempt a shot at 1800m)

Now don't be dissapointed if you want to play. There are heaps of roels that I would like to fill in this game so all are welcome to join. Ideally anyone who is interested in flying CAS, either in a chopper or fixed wing. There will surely be a role for you, both autonomous as well as laser designated bombing and CAS.

Anyone who wants to learn Artillery, again please come along. And if you just want to motor along in a tank, we're happy for that to happen as well.

Depending on how many are interested in playing if we get an infantry section going as well, then we would look at coordinating each part. I'd like to set up Coms and do some testing for them as well.

Basically i'd like to have a realistic game of Domination that is organised and tackled as a team no matter how we actually tackle it.

Plus cant play Friday Soon I will be able to play Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights though!! Thanks for cutting back my hours work!

Ideally this is just testing how the AI reacts and a bit of ranging sort of things.

Cool, just reiterating, all are welcome, and encouraged.

Oh and of course it's not just Sniper tactics, you can do what ever you want. I just want to improve my effectiveness as a sniper. Kind of a passion.
